The waterproof charger is specially designed to store up to 3.3 A / 120 W of solar energy directly, efficiently and safely in your e-bike battery. The intelligent device always keeps the charging voltage in the right range, even with different power levels, and is therefore extremely battery-friendly. To ensure safety, it is equipped with various protective functions, such as overload, overcurrent, short-circuit protection and control of the final charging voltage. In order to always get the most energy from the solar module, we have integrated MPP tracking and efficient voltage converters minimize self-consumption. In addition to the option of charging via solar, you can also charge your e-bike using an adapter at the 12V vehicle socket in the car and at a normal socket. This means you always have a charging option on your tours. Durability is extremely important to us, which is why we only use the highest quality components and coordinated heat management.

In addition, the charging port on your e-bike must be in a suitable location so that the cable does not bother you while you ride or block the pedals. Charging while you ride does not damage the battery, as the electricity seeks the easiest path and is fed directly into the motor when there is a load.

Our universal charger was specially developed for e-bike batteries and the individual manufacturers, such as Bosch, Yamaha, etc. are individually integrated after extensive stress tests. This means that the SunLight charger has exactly the same safe charging quality as the original charger and the battery does not lose any capacity like with cheap alternatives. The development of the charger and the integration is supervised by long-standing experts in charging technology from Germany. To guarantee battery-friendly charging, the charge is adjusted depending on the battery voltage and the final voltage of the charger is 41.5V to avoid overcharging. The fluctuating charging power when charging via solar also has no harmful effect, as the charging voltage is kept constant and a lower charging power is even more battery-friendly than, for example, with a 6A charger.
